Eligibility
ELIGIBILITY FOR T-TET PAPER-I (for persons intended to be a teacher of classes I-V):
Candidates should possess the following prescribed qualifications for T-TET Paper-I:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (or one year Diploma in Education up to academic session 2004-05) by whatever name known. OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education by whatever name known, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002 (or one year Diploma in Education up to academic session 2004-05). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (or one year Diploma in Education up to academic session 2004-05) by whatever name known. OR
- Graduation with at least 50 % marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).(Further, a candidate having B. Ed. from any NCTE recognized institution with 50% marks in Graduation shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.)
Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PH.
ELIGIBILITY FOR T-TET PAPER-II (for persons intended to be a teacher of classes VI-VIII):
Candidates should possess the following prescribed qualifications for T-TET Paper-II:
- Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (or one year Diploma in Education up to academic session 2004-05) by whatever name known. OR
- At least 50% marks either in Graduation or Post-Graduation and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years B.A. / B. Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed / B. Sc. Ed. OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.) (Special Education).
Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PH.
NOTE:
- Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education (B. Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed)etc., are provisionally allowed to appear in T-TET ( Paper I & II).
- Provisionally admitted candidates should have successfully completed the course in the current academic year itself and should produce Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education Certificate/Mark sheet during Certificate Verification, otherwise, T-TET certificate will not be issued to them and their candidature will be cancelled.
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATION FOR GRADUATE TEACHER (FOR CLASS: IX-X)
A. Graduate/Post Graduate from recognised university with at least 50% marks in either graduation or post-graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognised institution. OR
B. Graduate/Post Graduate from recognised university with at least 45% marks in either graduation or post-graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognised institution {in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Form of application for recognition, the time limit of submission of application, determination of norms and standards for recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to star new course or training). Regulations 2002 notified on 13.11.2002 and National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) regulations, 2007 notified on 10.12.2007}. OR
C. 4 years degree of B. A. Ed. / B.Sc. ED. from any National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognised institution.
Note: (I) Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PH category. (II) Degree Course in Teacher Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered.
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATION FOR POST GRADUATE TEACHER (FOR CLASS: XI-XII)
A. Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognised university and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) from a NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) recognised institution. OR
B. Post Graduate degree with 45% marks in relevant subject and obtained B.Ed degree (as per NCTE Regulations, 2002 or NCTE Regulations, 2007) from NCTE recognized Institutions. OR
C. Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognised university and B. A. Ed. /B.Sc. Ed. from any NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education ) recognised institution.
Note: (I) Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category. (II) Degree Course in Teacher Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered.
